About Us

COVE is an independent brand based in London, founded on the belief that jewellery is more than an accessory; it is a statement of environmental responsibility.

We reject the principles of fast, throwaway fashion and instead embrace true craftsmanship and a circular economy. Our focus is on building a community rooted in conscious consumption. This ethos informs everything we do, from carefully sourcing vintage pieces and restoring them where necessary, to using eco-conscious packaging designed to protect and preserve each item for years to come.

We work with exceptional artisans whose dedication to quality is formally recognised with a Royal Warrant from the British Monarchy. That same meticulous attention is brought to every piece restored at COVE.

While we gently restore some of our jewellery, every item we sell is vintage and preloved. Each piece is perfectly imperfect, bearing the marks of time and a life well lived. Our restoration process focuses on retaining the delicate patinas that add to each piece’s charm, preserving the character and stories etched into them by their journey through time.

Although we honour the artistry of the past, COVE has no affiliation with the original brands of the jewellery we sell. Our focus is on the beauty of each piece, its craftsmanship, history, and potential to endure.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At COVE, sustainability means extending the life of exceptionally crafted jewellery. By choosing vintage, you participate in a circular economy, celebrating iconic design and reducing the demand for new resources.

Environmental Impact of Jewellery Production

The production of new jewellery, especially in the fast-fashion sector, has significant environmental implications:

Resource Extraction: Mining for materials used in jewellery contributes to soil degradation, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity.

Energy Consumption: The manufacturing processes for new jewellery are energy-intensive, leading to increased carbon emissions.

Chemical Usage: Production often involves hazardous chemicals, which can lead to air and water pollution, affecting both ecosystems and human health.

By choosing to repurpose and restore existing pieces, we significantly reduce these environmental impacts, offering a sustainable alternative to newly produced jewellery.

Restoration

Our restoration processes are designed with environmental responsibility in mind:

Non-Toxic Materials: We avoid harmful chemicals, opting for alternatives which ensure environmental safety.

Energy Efficiency: Our techniques are optimised to consume less energy, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Packaging

We are committed to minimising waste through thoughtful packaging:

Recycled Materials: Our jewellery boxes are crafted from recycled materials, reducing the demand for new resources.

Minimalist Design: Our packaging is designed with simplicity, function, and sustainability in mind.

Shipping

Our shipping methods reflect our dedication to sustainability:

Low-Emission Delivery: Our trusted partners, Royal Mail, prioritise sustainable delivery methods.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives: Our shipping partners are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
